Eagle Scout
An Eagle Scout is a Scout with the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America.

The White Buffalo Award is presented by the Rancho Del Mar District to those patrols that have shown exemplary performance in competitions at the annual district Camporee. The white buffalo is a sacred symbol to Native Americans of rebirth and world harmony.
ViewUnit Awards
The Founders Award is presented to packs, troops, and units in the Orange County Council who achieve the National Quality Unit Award and participate in council fund raising programs.
ViewAdult Leader Awards
Silver Beaver
The Silver Beaver Award was introduced in 1931 as a means of recognizing Scouters who provided distinguished service to youth on the local level. The award is made by the National Council, upon the recommendation of the Local Council.
ViewAward of Merit
The Rancho Del Mar District Award of Merit is given to registered leaders who have rendered outstanding service beyond the expectation of duty on the District or Venturing level. The nominee must have provided outstanding service to scouts and should have contributed noteworthy service to youth outside of Scouting. The recipient of the Award of Merit is a dedicated Scouter who frequently achieves above and beyond the call of duty.
ViewLeader of the Year
The Cub Scout Leader of the Year, Boy Scout Leader of the Year, and Venturing Leader of the Year awards are given to Cub and Scout Leaders who have given exemplary service to their pack, troop, team or crew and local community. Leaders from Cubs, Scouts, Varsity and Venturing are selected by the District Awards Committee. These individuals represent excellence in providing quality programs in the Boy Scouts of America and outstanding service to youth.
Extra Miler
The Extra Miler Award is given to Cub and Scout Leaders who have gone the “Extra Mile” in giving service to their pack, troop, team or crew. Each recipient is selected by their unit in recognition of their extra efforts to provide quality programs to their youth in Scouting.
ViewSpirit of Scouting
The Spirit of Scouting Award is a perpetual district award given to a scouting volunteer who lives by the ideals of scouting and inspires others in their commitment to guiding scouts to reach their full potential. The worthy recipient is selected by the Spirit of Scouting recipient from the previous year.
ViewMainstay Award
The Mainstay Award is a perpetual district award given to a registered scout leader who has continuously given noteworthy service to Scouting. The Mainstay Award recipient is dedicated to providing scouts a quality scouting experience and serves as a role model for scouts and adult leaders. The worthy recipient is selected by the Mainstay recipient from the previous year.
ViewCommissioner of the Year
The recipient of the Commissioner of the Year award is selected by the District Commissioner and is typically based on a combination of unit service excellence, training, recruiting, personal growth, advancement, scout spirit, and leadership potential.
