Cub Scouts Color Guard for Irvine Ground breaking Ceremony

On December 7, 2006, six Cub Scouts from Pack 696 at Brywood Elementary in Irvine, CA, had the honor of being the color guard in an indoor flag ceremony at a groundbreaking ceremony and celebration of affordable housing in Irvine for Bridge Housing Corporation. The event took at Woodbury Walk in the Village of Woodbury in North Irvine. The boys who conducted the flag ceremony were James Kaatz, Jason Wong, Omar Simjee, Ethan Ko, and William Sweval, all Bear Cubs in Den 2, and Corbin Ko, a Tiger Cub in Den 5. Kathy Brook-Wong, the Den Leader of Den 2, and Debbie Kaatz, the Assistant Den Leader of Den 2, assisted the boys with the flag ceremony. Bonnie Braniff, Office Manager of Bridge Housing, was grateful to the boys for representing the Irvine community at the groundbreaking ceremony, and "Akela Kathy" was extremely proud of the boys for doing a wonderful job.
