Pack 655 Cubmobile Derby

Pack 655 in Irvine is an enthusiastic bunch that knows what Cub Scouts like to do

This recently organized Cub Pack at College Park Elementary was looking for a knockout activity that would generate enthusiasm among the boys in the pack as well as provide a drawing card for new scout recruits. After all, what kid wouldn't sign up to have a great time.

The cubs will have a great time building and decorating the car, practicing their racing skills and strategy, working as a team and experimenting with their leadership skills.

This Pack sponsored event is open to other Packs in Rancho Del Mar so bring the cubs and new recruits and let the fun begin.

Cub Scout Pack 655, is holding the 1st Annual Push Cub Mobile Derby, scheduled for Sunday, April 13, 2008. The race will take place at College Park Elementary School - 3700 Chaparral in Irvine, at 8:30 am

Push Cub Mobile Kits are available for purchase for $45.00 each. The kit comes complete with detailed instructions, all parts and fasteners necessary to assemble the cart. Allow 1 week for processing.

Each cart is run by 3 cubs. (2 pushing and 1 driving). There will be 3 different courses and plenty of race times for all cubs. Each team will compete for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place within their rank. Each scout will receive a special derby patch.

All cub scouts will be required to pay a $10.00 registration fee per scout racing. 2nd year Webelos scouts may participate in the event as long as they are registered Cub Scouts in January 2008.
