Breaking with tradition of a dark July Roundtable, Rancho Del Mar announces the
July Roundtable Dutch Oven & Chili Cook-Off
- Might as well be comfortable: Western Wear or activity uniforms
- We'll be startin' a bit earlier at 6:30 PM to get the eats cooked and hot, or just bring 'em hot, but get there before 7:30 PM
- Bring yer own plate and fork 'less ye want to share
- Not cookin'? Green and fruit salads welcome - think pot luck.
- The commissioners will provide hot ash disposal, bread rolls, water and juice.
Roundtable is the place to interact with the District leadership, pick up or drop off important stuff,
complete training courses, find out about upcoming events, and to meet fellow Scouters from other units
and make new friends and contacts.
Who? All Scout Leaders and interested Parents are encouraged to attend. Every unit has a
Commissioner assigned to them for assistance and support.
Why? Roundtable provides morale, enthusiasm, inspiration, and vision, renewing our
desire to serve youth. Roundtable provides skills, techniques, information, and program ideas
the know-how that makes for successful unit operation.
When? Every 2nd Thursday, all year
- 6:30 Cook-off Set up, start cooking. It would be wise to have prepared everything at home and just cook or reheat on site. All cooking must be off the ground - leave no trace (just like Scout-O-Rama).
- 7:30 Judging begins at 7:30 SHARP!
- 7:45 Announcements and eating, Be Prepared - bring your utensils
- 8:00 Awards
Where? Parking Lot, LDS Church, 23 Lake Street , Irvine (Culver to Alton -South. Alton to Lake Street East,
Brick building on North side of Street)
